Bayeux is an awesome location to visit all the center of D-Day, because they are all at last than 45 minutes from the medieval city.

You can visit the Bloody Omaha and the American cemetery on the heights of the beach, you also have some museums to have more information about the history, the vehicles or the D-Day most generally.

Don’t miss the considerable Pointe du Hoc with the bunkers, the shell mark’s and the beautiful view.

You can also visit until Utah Beach or Sword Beach the landing of the Anglo-Canadian sector.

Bayeux was one of the uncommon city to keep its patrimonial and cultural architecture during the WWII. You have the British cemetery, the museum of the battle of Normandy, the German gun battery of Longues-sur-Mer and  many professionals to go with you on the D-Day sites for live through WWII History.
